AMP Event Group is looking for an experienced Part-Time Office Administrator to provide administrative support for the owner and operational team, with an emphasis on phone answering, record keeping, calendar management, and bookkeeping.

To be successful in this role, you will need a strong understanding of basic business financial practice, as well as functional experience with tools like spreadsheets and QuickBooks.

This is a part-time position at 20 hours per week. We are looking to fill the job as soon as possible.

Responsibilities

Finance:

  • Record financial transactions, including purchases, expense receipts, sales, payments, and payables using QuickBooks
  • Follow up with customers on past-due invoices
  • Comply with federal, state, and company policies, procedures, and regulations
  • Receive payments, record payments, and deposit checks
  • Manage, record, and distribute payments for accounts payable
  • Maintain historical records by managing both digital and paper-based filing systems for the company, based on established procedures
  • Manage sales tax payments
  • Work with Bench Bookkeeping on monthly reconciliation and year-end preparation

Operations:

  • Attend weekly team meetings and distribute minutes / actions
  • Complete event detail sheet for review and approval
  • Distribute event detail sheets to assigned team members and suppliers
  • Communicate thoroughly, thoughtfully, and effectively with the team
  • Attend and contribute to specific financial and operational meetings
  • Accurately track all team members’ time
  • Assist in social media and marketing initiatives
  • Act as an additive and vital component of the AMP Event Group team while working cooperatively to uphold and improve the company culture

Requirements:

  • 2-3 years of relevant industry experience
  • Advanced proficiency with Chrome, Firefox, and PC Computing
  • MAC OS proficiency is ++
  • Advanced proficiency with QuickBooks
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Experience with HubSpot CRM is ++
  • Experience with Google Sheets
  • Must be a self-motivated hard worker
